Dermatology @ 480

FEES

Our reception staff will provide information regarding consultation fees and the claimable medicare rebate when you phone for your initial consultation. The full fee needs to be paid on the day of consultation after you have been seen by the doctor. We have facilities for EFTPOS and we are also able to electronically submit your Medicare claim online. Due to Covid - 19 cash & cheque is not the preferred method of payment at this time.

Patients who hold a Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession card will be charged a reduced fee for consultations, investigations and procedures. DVA Gold Card holders are not charged a gap and their treatment will be fully covered by Veterans Affairs.

Your Initial Consultation

When you arrive at our rooms you will be asked to fill out a registration form and the following information is needed.

• Referral letter from your GP or specialist
• Medicare Card
• Pensioner Concession Card Card, Health Care Card or Veteran’s Affairs Card

A referral is needed to claim the Medicare rebate for the consultation and is valid for 12 months from a GP and 3 months from a specialist. If your referral has expired you will need to obtain a new referral before you can see your dermatologist again. If you are unsure please feel free to call our staff. The referral letter must be brought in and given to the reception staff unless it has been sent in directly by the referring doctor. The referral period starts from the date you see the specialist, not the date on the referral letter.

To help the dermatologists diagnose your condition and to provide the best treatment the following information is very helpful

• Any creams or ointments you are using to treat your skin condition
• A list of medications
• Any other information that you have about your skin condition or other medical conditions.
